Glory
This is an old blog post that I wrote for my MySpace blog a long time back. I wanted to move those posts over to here…
So why are we here? I mean really. For those of you who share the same faith as I you will know how you got here, but do you really know why you are here. The first and foremost reason for your existence is to bring glory to God. At first that might sound either lame or completely out of your hands but I just want to share with you some of the things God has been teaching me about bringing Him glory.
He recieves glory when we bask in His amazing love. Reckognizing what that love has done for us and how great it truely is. We bring Him glory when we share His love with others. This can be as simple as telling someone that Jesus loves them or as time consuming as giving your life to someone. We bring Him glory when we include Him in our daily lives. Let Him know that you see what He is doing for you. Remember that no thing is to small to not have been provided by our Heavenly Father. A simple hug from a friend can be God’s way of saying that you are loved. God is in all things, even the little ones. Thanking Him for all that He has done in your life brings Him glory. You would not be where you are in your life without Him, that I promise. Another way to bring Him glory is to live out the dreams and desires that He planted in your heart. See one of the truely awesome things about our Father is that He has given each one of us gifts and desires to accomplish His will. The great part about it is that since they are also our desires we want to do them as well. We do what God planted in our heart, His will is done and of course He recieves the glory. How do you live, is it to bring glory to God?
